Systems with a clearer center.

Every organisation has its own version of complexity. These fictional examples show how thoughtful product design and dependable software can help teams change the shape of the work.

Fictional examples. The organisations and projects below are illustrative scenarios created to explain our approach; they are not client engagements or claims of past performance.

Lime orbit over warm concrete with fine diagram marks, an original illustration for a fictional field scheduling platform
Field operations · Fictional example

Northline Field Services

A service scheduling platform for regional maintenance teams.

Challenge

Coordinators were balancing incoming jobs, changing availability, and location details across separate tools. Technicians often had to re-enter information or call back to confirm what had changed.

Approach

We mapped the scheduling journey with coordinators and technicians, then tested a shared job view and a mobile-first field workflow against real-world connectivity and hand-off needs.

Delivered scope

Scheduling workspace, mobile technician workflow, job status and hand-off model, operational interface system.

Timeline

A staged discovery and build programme over approximately 16 weeks.

Qualitative outcome

A clearer allocation view, mobile-friendly technician workflows, and fewer reasons to rekey the same job details.

Botanical paper shapes and a lime orbit, original artwork for a fictional specialty food distributor portal
Wholesale commerce · Fictional example

Morrow & Vale

A wholesale ordering portal for a specialty food distributor.

Challenge

Account orders arrived in different formats and at different times. Customers lacked a clear picture of availability, while the internal team repeatedly reconciled product choices and account details by hand.

Approach

We explored account ordering habits and the distributor’s stock communication needs, then designed a portal that balances repeat ordering with useful context about availability and substitutions.

Delivered scope

Account portal, catalogue and availability patterns, repeat-order journey, administration views, staff hand-over guidance.

Timeline

A discovery and delivery engagement planned across approximately 14 weeks.

Qualitative outcome

A more direct account ordering experience, clearer stock communication, and less manual order handling for the team.

Layered charcoal and concrete paper with a bright lime ring, original artwork for fictional case-management software
Public-interest services · Fictional example

Civic Ledger Network

An internal case-management system for a public-interest advisory organisation.

Challenge

Case information lived in several documents and folders. Staff had to assemble updates manually, and different responsibilities made access boundaries difficult to communicate consistently.

Approach

We traced the case lifecycle, agreed shared record principles, and designed role-aware views that let teams see what they need without blurring responsibility or ownership.

Delivered scope

Case record model, role-based workspace, activity and reporting views, migration planning, staff onboarding patterns.

Timeline

A phased design and implementation plan across approximately 18 weeks.

Qualitative outcome

More consistent records, clearer role-based visibility, and a more straightforward path to routine reporting.
